NEUVIOR Data Analysis

Evidence worth
looking into.

Public data.
Original questions.
Analysis you can inspect.

Medicine produces extraordinary amounts of information. Its value depends on whether the right people can understand what it means, where it comes from and what question to ask next.

We are building a public analysis layer around that work: reproducible views of medicines activity, a transparent source catalogue and a clear path from an observation to a question worth testing.

Public medicines analysis | England 2025/26

The landscape
behind the leaders.

1,944 groups. Two different measures. Explore the distance between dispensing activity and ingredient cost.

Each point represents one medicinal BNF chemical-substance group. Move across to more prescription items; move up to more total NIC.

Emphasise a different question

1,944 matching groups.

Both axes use log10 scales. Equal spacing means a tenfold difference.

Prescription items and Net Ingredient Cost across 1,944 medicinal chemical-substance groupsScatter plot. Horizontal: prescription items, log10. Vertical: total Net Ingredient Cost in pounds, log10. Axes retain the complete national medicinal scope when filtered. Blue points match the chapter and search; pale points are context. Plum marks identify the selected national top-ten cohort. Use the group selector below for equivalent keyboard inspection and exact values. This chart makes no correlation or causal claim.Prescription items | log10 scaleNet Ingredient Cost (£) | log10 scale
Matching groupsSelected group

Select a point in the landscape, or use this native selector. Search narrows its options. Names and BNF codes follow the source. On a narrow display, slide the landscape horizontally to inspect its full scale.

Read the scales, boundary and source

Both axes are logarithmic to reveal groups across a wide range. Equal spacing means multiplying by ten; it does not mean adding the same number. Axis bounds are fixed to the complete medicinal snapshot, so chapter and search selections do not change a point’s position. Every point has the same base size; point area does not encode volume or cost.

Only finite, strictly positive item and NIC values can have log coordinates. 0 groups are excluded from this snapshot’s plot for non-positive or non-finite values. If such a source value is present, it remains available in the matching selector and exact-value panel; it is not moved to an invented positive value.

Activity and NIC emphasise the respective national top ten, with ties resolved by original BNF code. They do not fit a trend line, measure correlation, identify patient diagnoses or establish value, waste or market opportunity. Overlapping points can conceal one another; the native selector remains available for every matching source row.

NHSBSA’s Prescription Cost Analysis covers England’s community dispensing. This view retains medicinal chapters 01–15 and excludes pseudo chapters. Source-derived totals: 1,239,249,027 items and £9,983,762,289.24 NIC. Search and chapter selection do not replace these national denominators or ranks.

Different leaders.
Different questions.

The most dispensed groups and the highest ingredient-cost groups tell different stories.

We examined all 1,944 medicinal chemical-substance groups in England’s published 2025/26 community dispensing data. The two top-ten lists have no shared group.

Methods, source and limitations

NEUVIOR analysis of the Chemical_Substances worksheet in NHSBSA’s Prescription Cost Analysis, England 2025/26. We retained chapters 01–15, ranked the exact item counts and integer-pence NIC values separately, and resolved ties by the original BNF code. All 1,944 codes are unique. Every medicinal chapter and the combined medicinal total reconcile to the source with no item or penny difference.

These are BNF classification groups, including combinations and vaccines. Source names are preserved. Groups do not establish a diagnosis, a single medicine price or the full expenditure of a therapy across all care settings. NIC divided by items is a mix-dependent aggregate, not a comparable unit price or achievable saving.

The workbook was published 4 June 2026 and the local source snapshot was verified 13 October 2026. The analysis period is 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026. This is a versioned snapshot, not a live dispensing feed.

Registered.
Completed.
Results posted?

Three different facts about a study.

We examined the public metadata returned by a ClinicalTrials.gov condition search for glioblastoma. The complete search returned 2,273 records; 1,773 contain “glioblastoma” in at least one submitted condition label.

Explore that explicit-label subset or the broader search, then separate registry status from whether results have been posted on the registry.

Dated snapshot | 14 October 2026 | All registry years | Later registry updates are not reflected

Condition labels contain the case-insensitive text ‘glioblastoma’. This text rule is reproducible, but does not identify every clinically relevant study. Interventional, observational and expanded-access records are included.

Completed records only232 with results | 477 without posted registry results

Both tracks run from 0% to 100% of their stated denominator. A record without posted registry results may have publications elsewhere, may not yet be due to report, or may fall outside a reporting requirement. This view does not assess compliance, study quality or whether an intervention works.

Look at the shape
of the registered work.

Group the selected records by

Bars compare record counts from zero. Combined phases are kept together as one group; they are not counted twice. “Not applicable” and “not recorded” remain distinct.

Methods, query, source and interpretation

NEUVIOR analysis of public ClinicalTrials.gov API v2 metadata. Saved query: query.cond=glioblastoma. Three pages at 1,000 records per page returned 2,273 unique NCT identifiers, matching the API total, with no next-page token. The projected fields include condition labels, record type, status, phase, results-posted flag and registry dates. No participant records, contacts, interventions or outcomes were requested.

The explicit-label subset contains a submitted condition label with the case-insensitive text “glioblastoma”. The broader search can use registry term expansion and include mixed cancer or CNS studies. Neither cohort is a systematic review or an estimate of all global glioblastoma research.

Status counts describe registration metadata. The API hasResults flag describes results posted on this registry, not positive results, regulatory approval or publication elsewhere. Each combined phase is treated as an exclusive category. Missing phases are preserved. Record-type and condition controls define the denominator; selecting a bar only changes the linked sample.

Resource Economics | The factor and its boundary

One factor.
One stated boundary.

A conversion is useful when its activity, unit and scope match the question. Inspect a real reference row, then optionally enter a matching measured quantity.

1.2 | July revised flat file | Three selected rows from the 2026 DESNZ flat file. Changing the activity clears the quantity so a different unit is not reused silently.

DESNZ | 2026 published reference

0.13096kg CO2e per kWh

Electricity generated | Electricity: UK

Source classification: Scope 2
Factors by Category | Workbook row 3066

Generation is one part of the electricity boundary.

This row converts a matching electricity quantity in kWh using the published UK electricity-generated factor.

Separate transmission, distribution and well-to-tank factors are excluded. This is not a full-grid lifecycle result or a complete purchased-electricity footprint.

Optional | A single-activity scenario

Use kWh for the defined electricity activity. A tariff, bill total or power rating in kW is not the same quantity.

Start with the activity record

The quantity is yours to establish.

No quantity entered. Choose a matching activity and unit before calculating.

What should a professional check next?

Confirm the activity period, geography and reporting boundary before selecting any additional factors. Do not describe this single-row estimate as the whole impact of an electrical process.

Keep the measurement period, source record and factor edition together. A change in the selected factor is not evidence of an operational improvement; a reduction claim would need a comparable baseline and the relevant wider boundary.

Inspect the method and source edition

Calculation: entered activity quantity × the selected published factor = kg CO2e for that activity boundary. Factors are preserved as retained in the source rows. Displayed results use up to eight significant digits; that display precision does not establish measurement accuracy.

The input starts blank. Zero is accepted as an explicit quantity; a missing value is not treated as zero. Negative, non-finite, non-numeric and unrepresentable quantities or results are rejected. No scenario input is sent or saved, and the component never adds the electricity and water rows into an organisation total.

Three kinds of work

An observation
is the beginning.

Keep the next step honest and useful.

A pattern in public data can sharpen a conversation. It can help define what to study, which information is missing and what change would matter. It does not establish what a product delivers in practice.

Public analysis

Reproducible calculations from a named public source, with dates, scope and methods.

Research hypothesis

An interpretation or proposed question requiring independent testing.

Evidence study

A separately designed investigation; planned, running and completed status must be evidenced.

From a national pattern
to your organisation’s question.

For a pharmacy team, that might be a medicines mix or a service pathway. For an NHS medicines team, it might be a product grouping, an implementation question or the evidence needed before a pilot. For researchers, it might be the strength and limits of a published association.

The public layer is designed to make the first conversation more specific. Any local evaluation needs its own permission, scope, comparison and measures. It belongs to a separate piece of work.

Within PHARMORIS, that connection between evidence, responsibility and action is the direction we are developing. Discuss a data or evaluation question.
