Explore the work in a way that works for you.

Research, medicines intelligence and the company's opportunities should remain understandable whether you read, watch or use a keyboard. Accessibility is part of making the experience useful. The expanded site is under review, and this page explains the intended routes through it, the limits of our current assurance and how to tell us about a barrier that needs attention.

Begin with the reading route

Headings and written explanations should carry the main meaning of a page. A visual treatment can add atmosphere or help explain a relationship, but the reader should not have to interpret a glow, colour or animation to understand a scientific or commercial point. Where a diagram is interactive, its associated text explains the selected view. Source references provide a route to the underlying material for those who want more detail.

Browser text enlargement and zoom may make reading more comfortable. If an explanation becomes clipped or a control overlaps the content at your chosen setting, that is useful feedback for us to investigate. W3C (2024), WCAG 2.2 provides the reference framework for features such as text alternatives, keyboard access, readable structure and reflow. Referencing it does not establish that this evolving site conforms to a particular level.

Keep movement separate from meaning

The site combines still content with motion, films and selected interactive studies. Reduced-motion preferences inform the intended treatment of decorative animation. Written explanations remain important when movement is reduced or a visual cannot be displayed. Where playback controls are offered, use them to manage that media. A decorative film should not be necessary to understand a programme's evidence or the next step in an enquiry.

External educational films retain their original publisher and accessibility features. Some do not provide captions, so the accompanying written explanation and current source guidance are important alternative routes. If you need the information in another format, identify the film and the topic you want to understand. We should examine the requested information rather than assume that an automatically produced transcript is accurate or sufficient for your needs.

Request a format that helps you act

You can ask about a page, research reference or company document in a more useful format. Examples might include a plain-text explanation, a more readable document or a written summary of an interactive diagram. Tell us the content title and the format or communication approach that would help. We will consider the request and agree a practical response where possible, without promising that every externally published asset can be altered or reproduced.

NHS England (2025), Accessible Information Standard offers a useful reference for identifying and responding to communication needs in NHS services. It is not an accessibility certification of this website. The relevant principle for our public experience is practical: understand the need, establish the information someone is trying to access and avoid assuming that one channel works equally well for everyone.

Explain a barrier without sharing unnecessary personal information

An accessibility enquiry can begin with the page address, the task, the browser or device if known and a short description of the difficulty. Include an alternative contact method or format if you prefer. You do not need to send medical records, diagnoses or unrelated personal information to explain why a page is difficult to use. The privacy notice provides the website enquiry context.

If a form itself prevents your enquiry, another person may help describe the content you need, subject to your choice. Feedback should support a practical alternative and examination of whether the barrier affects other visitors.

Our current assurance position

The expanded site has not received a complete independent accessibility assessment. Selected tests do not establish usability across assistive technologies. Desktop and manual mobile review remain separate work. Specific feedback helps make the next correction concrete and valuable.
