Care addresses the tumour and the person
Treatment discussions can include surgery, radiotherapy, and drug treatment. The recommended approach depends on the diagnosis, tumour location, a person’s health, and their priorities. Support with symptoms and everyday function belongs within that conversation throughout care. [M04]
Function matters
Communication, movement, cognition, fatigue, and independence can affect daily life in different ways. Asking what support is available can be as important as understanding the next treatment step. Specialist teams can discuss rehabilitation, symptom management, psychological support, and help for family members or caregivers.
How this shapes our research
A future intervention would need to be judged by the benefit it could offer and the burden it could introduce. Our programme includes normal neural function and treatment burden in its development questions, alongside effects on malignant cells.
NEUVIOR does not provide clinical care or offer an experimental glioblastoma treatment. A person’s care team is the right place to discuss treatment choices and suitable clinical trials.
