Begin with the local medicines decision
PHARMORIS-INDIA is our India-focused development pathway. It begins with the medicines decisions people make, the evidence available to them, and the conditions under which a different approach could be useful.
The UK programme gives us methods and questions to bring into the conversation. Local users, healthcare and pharmaceutical organisations, and the practical realities of the selected setting will shape what is developed for India.
What we are working to define
Our first priority is a consequential problem with an identifiable user and buyer. This includes understanding the current workflow, sources of information, review responsibilities, data permissions, language requirements, and the cost of introducing a new process.
We want the first evaluation to answer a specific question: does the adapted approach improve a decision or its implementation enough to justify using it in that setting?
A two way research conversation
Comparing settings can reveal which elements of an implementation method are widely useful and which depend on local arrangements. That learning can inform both the India pathway and the wider PHARMORIS programme.
Our wider pharmaceutical conversations in India have included Akums and Unosource Pharma, concerning manufacturing capabilities and potential product requirements. Those discussions sit alongside the work to define a suitable local PHARMORIS use case.
Help shape the first use case
We welcome conversations with Indian pharmaceutical and healthcare organisations able to bring a clear medicines problem, knowledge of the current process, and the capacity to assess a proposed improvement.
